Medfield Yoga offers different styles of yoga, such as:

Morning Flow
This one hour class will help start your morning with a fresh mindset! We focus on integrating breath with movement, taking students from one posture to the next, while sustaining some postures. The flow of this practice harmonizes body, breath, mind and spirit. This practice strengthens the heart, creates better balance and encourages grace. This class is for All Levels.

Evening Flow
This one hour class will help create a calmer space so you can unwind from the busy-ness of your day. We integrate breath with movement, moving from one posture to the next, while sustaining some postures. The flow of this practice harmonizes body, breath, mind and spirit. This practice strengthens the heart, creates better balance and encourages grace. This class is for All Levels.

Sunrise Flow
Wake up strong! A flowing form of yoga that focuses on integrating breath with movement, taking students from one posture to the next, while holding some postures longer. The flowing movement of this practice harmonizes body, breath, mind and spirit. The increased pace of this practice strengthens the heart, creates better balance and encourages grace. This class is for All Levels.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga provides a balance to more active – or yang – styles of yoga because it asks the body to release muscles away from the bones so that connective tissue can be stretched. Poses are done primarily in a seated or lying down position and target the lower back, hips, pelvis and legs. Each posture is typically held from 2-5 minutes as we slowly lengthen and strengthen the tissues that are often overlooked. Yin Yoga restores energy flow in the body, increases flexibility, improves the health of the joints and prepares the body for the return to more vigorous (yang) activities. This class is for All Levels.

Yoga Basics
This class is a slowed down vinyasa class with flowing postures including standing poses, hip openers, shoulder openers, and backbends. The teacher will bring focus to the intricacy of poses, practice of breath, centering and meditation. This class is for All Levels, including beginning practitioners and those with experience who wish to deepen their practice.

Mindful Flow
Slow-moving flow through asanas, practicing self-compassion through a playful, fun approach. Leading you into the present moment through awareness of the union of body and mind, touching on philosophy of practice, and guided meditation. This class is for All Levels.

Power Up/Power Down                                                                                                                                                                                                 Warm up, build strength, slow down, relax to the max. This is a well-rounded class that gives students a little be of all the best stuff! Class starts with a gentle power flow to build strength and warm up the body. This flow sequence is followed by restful poses designed to bring maximum relaxation. Long savasanas are a staple in this combo class. This is a great class for those wanting both strength and restoration. With plenty of options for both modification and growth, students of all levels will be comfortable in this class. This class is for All Levels.

Soulful Flow                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Come relax and flow to great tunes, both old and new. The music will facilitate linking breath to movement in a flow that will energize your body and soothe your soul. Class will end with a blissful savasana. This class is for All Levels.      

Power Flow                                                                                                                                                                                                                       A fitness-based approach to Vinyasa style flow. Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a vigorous and mindful flow. In a power flow class, students will build strength, flexibility and concentration and calm the mind. You can expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work. We will end with a slow, steady cool-down and a blissful savasana.

Kids Yoga
This is a fun, creative approach to yoga that can be very helpful for developing bodies. Through animated poses and basic stretching exercises we promote strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach kids how to focus, relax and develop self-control. Kids can improve concentration and focus, stimulate their imagination and help release energy in a fun, safe environment. A kids yoga program also promotes inner-strength, confidence and self-esteem; a feeling of well-being and respect for others; and, love for ones self, inside and out.

Prenatal and Post-Natal Yoga
This is for moms-to-be and new moms who want an active yoga class and community of friendly faces to support you during this special (and sometimes challenging) time. This class is appropriate for all stages of pregnancy, beginners to very experienced yogis.

Yoga for Men
This class is designed with our male students in mind. This class provides a well-rounded yoga practice to build strength, improve flexibility, and reduce stress. Men often struggle with tightness (particularly in the hips, hamstrings, and shoulders) that can lead to injury or weakness. We practice postures to target these tight areas so you can move with greater strength and ease. This class is for All Levels. Beginners welcome!
